I’m exhausted; all I want to do is sleep all day. I black out when I stand up too fast, and all of my muscles hurt. I am tired all the time here, and I think the diet has a lot to do with it. Today we had rice for lunch and cous cous for dinner. No spices or sauce or anything, just plain rice and cous cous. The thing is that these people don’t seem like they are dying or anything, and they definitely aren’t taking any vitamins. It’s weird. I’m fairly convinced I’m dealing with a superior species here. They pick up hot coals with their bare hands and play soccer in 120 degree heat. They walk around on thorns and nails barefoot. Once they can walk they’re more or less old enough to look after themselves. It’s completely normal to see a toddler playing in a rusty half-barrel (like they ship oil in). I saw one kid step on a nail, stop, pull it out (about a half inch), and keep on going without a sound. He can’t be older than 5. I’m pretty sure cold is their only weakness.

Geeze Matt, Grandma’s gonna have a cow when she reads this post! I trust you to take care of yourself—but I’m not so sure Grandma does. Gotta go. . . .phones ringing, . . . . it’s Grams.
Matt
